Why?
Well, if it was just me, that wouldn’t be a problem, I developed a rather relaxed approach to exams: I study and just let things happen by themselves; if I pass - great, if not - well, it doesn’t mean a thing, there are more chances, and I love myself too much to let one little exam effect my mood. When you look at it in larger perspective, that one exam really doesn’t mean anything, it doesn’t define you nor it speaks too much of your intelligence.
It’s just a thing to be done.
But, when surrounded with my lovely overstressed colleagues who keep making a big deal of all this stuff, I can feel their low vibe energy effecting me and putting some pretty nasty thoughts in my mind, as: Why am I not stressing? Maybe I should? It may be really important, look how much they talk about it... But, really - it’s not. Stressing and complaining doesn’t mean that they are trying harder or that they study much more, it means just that: that they are stressing and losing their nerve for nothing, really.
So, I developed this little technique that keep my energy high and helps me have my head above water when surrounded with those energy-sucking people.
Instead of “I have to do this exam” I put it this way: “I HAVE THE AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to do this exam” - I have the opportunity to study something I truly adore, I am gifted with skills that enable me to do it successfully, with people and circumstances that make this whole thing happen! That is so exciting and I want to make the most of it! How to be stressed about such a beautiful thing? My energy levels instantly go up when I fill my mind with these thoughts and I feel so much better.
I gave you this example, but you can use your own energy-lifting techniques wherever and whenever you feel drained by negative people around you.
Just remember: no one can take your high vibe from you if you don’t allow it, you are the master of your thoughts and feelings, so put a smile on your face and “be the mirror for the light, rather than a sponge for the darkness.”
Lots of love,
Maja
